- A few notes
From Amy’s journal
Short reflections from working with clients on their homes.
-
Where to start when it feels like a lot
When things at home feel overwhelming, don’t try to tackle the whole house. Pick one small area - a drawer, a cupboard, a single corner - and just start there.
You don’t need to make big decisions all at once. Even small progress can make things feel lighter and more manageable.
-
Doing it properly, with care
This wasn’t just a busy room - it was years of belongings, memories and decisions all in one place. Step by step, we worked through it together: keeping what mattered, letting go of what didn’t, and creating a space that feels calmer and ready for what comes next.
It’s not about rushing. It’s about doing it properly, with care.
-
Little pockets of ease
Your home doesn’t need to be perfect to feel good. It’s about creating little pockets of ease in your day - a clear bedside table, a kitchen counter with space to breathe, a hallway that welcomes you home.
Choose one small space you could reset this week.
IV. About
About Amy
I’ve always been naturally drawn to creating calm, organised spaces and helping people feel more in control of their environment.
Through Order & Grace, I now support individuals and families with decluttering, organising and preparing their homes - whether that’s for a move, downsizing or simply when things begin to feel overwhelming.
I understand that it’s not just about “stuff” - there’s often a lot tied up in it emotionally too. My approach is calm, practical and supportive, helping make the process feel more manageable and positive.
My aim is always to leave clients feeling lighter, clearer and more at ease in their space.
- Kind words from clients
What clients say
I was trying to declutter fifty years of possessions on my own, and I was just moving things from place to place trying to find a ‘home’ for them. I worked alongside Amy four hours a day for five days, going through every cupboard and drawer.
I now have cleared surfaces, everything has a place, and the whole house feels lighter, refreshed and even sounds different. I couldn’t have done it without Amy’s guidance - just positioning items differently gave a new look to how things are displayed. I certainly don’t regret letting go of the clutter, and I’m so very pleased I got in touch with Amy.
I was drowning in clutter and mess everywhere, which was both the result and the cause of long-standing mental health issues. I had tried many times to sort my house, but every time I was quickly overwhelmed and abandoned the project. When I found Amy’s page on Facebook, I immediately reached out. I knew I had found exactly what I needed.
Amy is amazing. She’s so kind and understanding. She first stopped by for a ‘reconnaissance’ visit and estimated, very accurately, how long it would take us to go through the rooms. We worked together as a team, with Amy asking all the right questions to help me decide what to do with each item. She helped with organising and putting things away.
Amy showed patience and compassion in helping me make decisions. Her practical organising skills have transformed my storage space. I would recommend her to anyone who needs help to declutter. She showed respect and understanding.
Amy did an amazing job sorting out all of my cupboards and drawers for me. It became so overwhelming that it was difficult for me to start. She was extremely helpful, patient and kind. It was such a pleasure to have her in my home. I’d definitely recommend Order & Grace.
I was absolutely delighted that Order & Grace came and worked magic in my house. My kitchen and utility look as good as new. I have surfaces again!
Everything was sorted and put away in a logical place. The cupboards were cleaned and tidied, and the storage containers were labelled. Amy offered good advice and helped me throughout. I have asked Order & Grace to return later in the year to help with other areas. I am absolutely delighted with the results. Thank you.
